Eduard 1/48 Albatros D.III

Post by JonMW »

Started this as a test build to try out some techniques before I have a go at a WNW kit. The kit is far from easy to get together with very vague locating pins for the fuselage half's, wings, struts and landing gear. But after some struggle it all went together. I used Uschi van der Rosten wood decals for the fuselage, the engine, exhaust, spinner, mg barrels and turnbuckles where all 3d printed and the propeller was cnc milled from a piece of 4mm birch plywood. Made a small base for it and added a pilot from PJ productions and a mechanic from Aerobonus.

Well I can’t wait for the wingnut wings work if this was just a tester to get you ‘eye in’. Awesome work sir

  Can only agree with the comment above I would have gone straight for the WnW build with that sort of result . The Eduard WW1 kits are notoriuosly a pain to build and with that sort of result your going to breeze through a WnW kit. :thumb2:
