I managed to get my Honda RC213V finished. It's Tamiya 1/12 with the Top Studio detail set and chain set, Zero Paints on the frame and fairings and the rest is Tamiya LPs.

It was a fiddly one and there's a tonne of wiring up front, but she's finished! That's my 4th build.down!

Howdy all!

Recently finished up a Moebius Models - HAL9000 for the Summer SciFi SIG. It's in 1/1 sclae for HAL's faceplate. The kit came with a red LED which was a nice touch. Primed/painted in Ultimate Gloss Black Primer and Alclad II Chrome. That's actually it, just those two colors.

Fun and fast build, great addition to any man cave.

On the way to finishing another Moebius kit - the 1.32 scale Colonial Viper Mk 1.
Currently now waiting on polishing compound for the canopy as I had some nasty paint bleeds under the masking tape that had to be removed and for me to try my hand on using the Vallejo Model Wash before letting it loose on the Viper (never used a wash before).
At the moment I am finishing off detailing the landing gear bay door internals.
This is how the kit looks at the moment (The nose looks funny as the forward section is not affixed to the rear in these photos so its sagging in the middle):

Kit is finished in Tamiya AS-2 Light Grey over Tamiya light grey surface primer.
Advanced decals are from DEKLS.
The cockpit has the Paragrafix PE set fitted.
The kit as a whole has the VoodooFX lighting kit in and working.

1/12 Magnifier GT-40 is coming together nicely. Started spraying and decaling the body using Ultimate grey primer followed by Tamiya LP semi gloss black for all the surfaces that dont get the clear coat. Zero paints jet black was sprayed on all the outer surfaces followed by when dry a coat or two of Zero diamond 2k.

The Jeepy bits are pretty much built and all dry fitted for the moment; I'll paint this up a bit and then start working on the flamey bits next

Tamiya clear blue sprayed over Alclad chrome and Splash 2k clear
I am making a brass windscreen and some other parts that were missing

Almost done with this Academy 1/48 F8F Bearcat. The base coat is Mission Models Clear Primer tinted with Mission Models Navy Blue, then decals and gloss clear over that. The tinted primer self levels like silk and drys with a nice semi gloss sheen. I've only done a few airplane kits so I don't have much to compare this one to, but it seemed to fit OK. Not much for extra details in the kit, so it went together pretty fast.

Good evening gentle modellers.

Tonight’s offering is the 1/144 Arctic Decals little resin deHavilland DH-86 in the livery of Holyman’s Airways in 1935. The main paint is Tamiya LP-11 Silver with splashes of Tamiya TS-83 on the propellers and spinners. I made some of the decals on my computer and laser printer. The DH-86 was said to be a big aeroplane in 1935 so I’ve put this model in front of the Revell 1/144 Airbus A.380 to show how much airliners have grown since then.

I am building the newly released Shelby Cobra 289 FIA in 1/25 or maybe 1/24 from Revell. This was an Academy kit in the early 90's.
The bodywork is Tamiya TS 54 and Mr Super clear.
Interior I used Revell acrylic paints along with black felt for the carpets, aluminium foil tape for chrome, ribbon seat belts as well as some photo etch.

Been working on the Tamiya 1/24 Volkswagen Beetle.
What's in the pic is done and the body and parts are ready for paint - hopefully tonight.
Have added a heavy wash to the engine/tranny, I mean really, it is an old VeeDub, oil should be everywhere!!
Body is getting treated to decanted Tamiya TS-60 Pearl Green.

Decided to try and finish some kits that I've reboxed for various reasons. Managed today to finish this Revell 1/24 Land Rover despite it being very close to the bin at one point due to a clear coat cock up! Thanks to Paul's recent stripping video (???) I redid the body in Ultimate primer with Zero paints Land Rover Bronze Green and Limestone, finished with MRP 2k.
Apart from a couple of small issues I think it's a great kit, goes together very nicely and the body shell itself is truly excellent in my humble opinion.

Tamiya Escort Cosworth, done as another "track car" as I did my Imperial blue one, but this time im going with Jewel Violet. I used a touch up paint thinned with Tamiya Lacquer thinner with retarder and put down about 8 light coats slowly building up the colour. Gave it a panel line wash with Tamiya accent black and applied the 3 decals, Can 2K it on Sunday when the colour will truly come alive
