Hello Everyone :)

Post by RainingSpain »

Gang,

So happy to be a part of this wonderful community, and TY to Paul for his videos that ignited this fire under my bottom to do so. I am very new to scale modeling (modelling) really, but have learned a LOT online and also draw from my Love of doing it as a child. Funny thing now, I have more resources and a bit of time on my hand to really make great works (with all your help and tutelage). I bought a few models, the first was a 1/72 Academy JU87G-1 Stuka "Tank Buster". The second, because I was really afraid of that tiny scale with the detail I wanted to achieve, was a 1/48 Tamiya Corsair F4U-1/2 Birdcage. This will probably be my first build using Paul's techniques. Honestly, I did also buy a 1/32 Trumpeter SBD3 Dauntless... which I am so fearful of at this moment because of my lack of skill. So looking forward to building it, but certainly hope that I can rely on great modeling minds such as yourselves, to guide me through it when I do :).

Thank you so much for having me, I hope you are all well during this Pandemic, and so happy to be here Gentlemen & Ladies :)

Welcome RainingSpain! I hope you enjoy it here as much as I. I'm a member at several car modeling forums but this is my favorite modeling forum and the only one I really go to anymore. Paul's videos are awesome and what brought me here too. If you have a question, he has probably demonstrated it in one of his videos... but the great folks here can answer it too.

Thank you so much my friend, and yes I am very happy here. Paul and the guys have great video content from which I learn a LOT really. Also, so glad that you are into cars, because although I am into WWII aeronautics right now, I would really like to try my had at autos in the near future. Maybe you can give me some tips/tricks to really boost my builds when the time comes? Thank you again for the shout back, and hope you and yours are doing well big baller :)
