Problem with rip decal

Post by Garion77 »

Hi everyone,
can anyone suggest me a way to repair my ripped US Star Roundel decal ? I masked the plane for further work without putting any varnish on and when I removed the masking tape I ripped part of the decal...

Personally would paint patch them or go whole hog and remove and replace

Hi ya
Ya removal is the problem. You can go too crazy with solutions or you risk wrecking your paint.
I would go hot water compress and see if it will re-wet and lift.
