Hasegawa 1:48 P-40E Warhawk

Hi all,

This is my completed Hasegawa P-40E pretending to be a P-40M in Finnish Airforce colours.

For anyone that didn't follow my WIP thread, the Finnish Airforce captured a P-40 in 1943 after the Russian pilot became disoriented or lost and landed by mistake.

It didn't see any combat and was mainly used for training thereafter.

My model represents this aircraft, although the first, and most glaring error is that I've used the an E and not an M. This is simply because I had this kit available, the differences don't really bother me and I reduce the stash slightly!

The only AM I used were wheels and decals from SBS Models.

I know I've been posting photos as I've been going, so apologies to anyone who's been following, but I made the effort to take some better photos earlier and thought I'd share them.

The P-40 is an unmissable fighter of the WW2 and it's still surprise me, very nice and unexpected decoration!
