My entry is my P47 Thunderbolt from Tamiya in 1-48 scale. First attempt at scratchbuilding. So I'm showing the picture of the engine. I haded the usual with copper and lead wires and drilled holes a different places to fix them. And use mostly Vallejo colors for the detail painting and Allclad for the mettalics. I also added a part with plastic part at the bottom of the engine (forgot how it's called). I also added the ring that goes all around the engine.
Thank you
Francis

Hi Dan, this week I finished my 1/24 Tamiya Opel Astra V8 Coupé Team Holzer.

Fantastic kit by Tamiya, especially for its age. Only negative where the aging decals but no real problems.

Ultimate Gelb Primer for the body.
Ultimate Black primer everywhere else.
Decanted Tamiya TS 31 Bright Orange.
Tamiya LP 9 Barrier clear coat.
Studio 27 Photo etch set (seatbelts and mesh)
Ultimate decal solutions.
Gravity Spain 2K
Micro Mesh and Ultimate Polishing system.
Tamiya LP paints used throughout.
Zero Paints textured Charcoal for interior parts.
Ultimate Apex with 0.2 and 0.35 needle sets used throughout.

Hope you all have a great show and a wonderful weekend 👍👌

Been a bit quiet here as we are packing the house contents ready to move.
However I managed to get a bit more done on the Zvezda T34-76.
Kit tracks have been assembled into the 6 component sections and it was a right royal PITA. Surface detail is excellent but they don't look "right" on vehicle - too taut, no sag where there should be. So I've got a set of Friul metal tracks on order to see if they sit better.

    Evenin' young Dan (or understudy)

Not much bench time this week but I did make a little progress on Bronco's 1/35 Comet for the Late War GB.

There's been some fettling necessary to get the after market resin bits to fit, and the PE was a little challenging in places but it's just about built now.

Need to tidy up some joins and it'll be ready for a coat of Ultimate's finest primer.

    Good evening amusing modellers

Here is the Special Hobbies 1/72 Goodyear F2G-1. Being a Special Hobbies kit I leave you to imagine the challenges that came with getting this one completed. The paint is SMS Premium Dark Sea Blue acrylic lacquer, I’m becoming quite a fan of this paint the more I use it.

    Hi Dan and everyone!

Earlier this week I finished my Jaguar XJR-9 LM 1/24 from Hasegawa.

This was a build of many firsts - first Hasegawa kit, first Group C car, first time masking a livery rather than just using decals, first home made carbon fibre decals and first time using LEDs! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and what I have learnt as well. Now I am keen to light a kit again - I love how it looks in the dark!
    Have a great weekend all!

Almost done with my Revell Jeep Wrangler - decals, panel liner, and it's ready for final assembly. Model Master Go Mango rattle can, with some dodgy black rattlecans I found out in the shed for the body trim. Vallejo paints on the interior. It should be done by Halloween, which seems about right. It's a great day to build a model!

    Good Evening All
Continued work on my Tamiya 1/24 Mercedes CLK GTR Teile. Trying to add more scratch built detail to the engine however beginning to doubt my sanity somewhat . The body shell is coming along OK so hopefully it will all be worth it when the 2 come together. To keep my head busy I also started a little armour project, photo next time if I don't cock it up!
Thanks for looking, have a great evening.

Hello all. This is my Hasegawa Miura, ready for its clear coat. I'm trying out some new paints on this build.

    -Gaia Notes Pink Surfacer
    -Decanted TS-98 pure orange
    -Gaia Notes Silver (Running boards)
    -Gaia Notes Premium Chrome (Trim)

I also have the interior/chassis assembled - so after the clear coat and trim bits, this one will be done. I like how this kit went together - everything fit well (so far..)
