P.E. Drum Set

Post by DRUMS01 »

Something very different....

This is the first time I've ever tried on of those all P.E. pocket kits. These are the rather inexpensive items found at places like Hobby Lobby and some craft stores. Sorry as I did not document the build process. The manufacturer displays the kit in the all chrome silver natural color. I decided to try something different by adding some Tamiya clear color tint to various parts and flat white for the drum heads. The build is suppose to be done without glue by using the tab in slot method. Once in the slot the tab is either bent or twisted to retain the connection. Right away I realized that the metal was very thick and difficult to remove from the sheet as well as bend. The completed kit measures around 2.5 inches

Keeping all of that in mind, here is the end result:

Responses are welcome and thanks for looking.

You really enjoy the PE my friend :D

It looks awesome. May I suggest putting something next to it like a penny for the next photo so we can enjoy just how small this ensemble really is.

Really lovin’ your work
