Looking for 3D Printer Guidance

Evening Gentlemen,

I've been thinking about getting a 3D printer specifically for use with my models. Although I suspect I'll find other uses as well. Since my primary interest is 1:35 armor, my general idea is to be able to print small details like antenna mounts, pioneering tool straps and buckles, coffee mugs, fire extinguishers, mess kits . . . maybe even custom heads and hands for figures. My initial thought is to go with a one of the SLA printers. I've had quite a bit of experience with FDM printers but I just don't believe they're capable of the fine detail we're talking about at that scale.

It's been in the back of my mind for a couple years now but OneSmallStep1966's recent post on his 1:400 Soviet N1 Moon Rocket that he printed has solidified in my mind that I need to seriously start researching. I'd appreciate anyone's input based on your experience and specifically how it's helped or hindered your scale modeling. Are there any particular printers that you've been extremely happy with or are on the verge of encasing in cement and tossing over a bridge?
