Good evening amusing modellers

Tonight’s completed model is the Monogram 1/72 Grumman F8F-2, painted in SMS Dark Sea Blue lacquer with Superscale decals. Ultimate sanders did a lot of work in sprucing up this kit which was first released in 1970. So it’s older than most of happy band, and probably looks better too.

Good Evening All

This one's been hanging around a while waiting for roll cage and seatbelts but inspired by the change in thread title I got it finished this week. It's a Tamiya 1/24 Calsonic Skyline GTR, a lovely kit that I have really enjoyed putting together. Finished pretty much out of the box apart from the ribbon seatbelts and some photo etch bonnet and boot pins. Paints used were Ultimate grey primer, Zero Calsonic Blue and Zero Diamond 2k sprayed through an Apex airbrush.
Thanks for looking, have a great evening.

Good evening everyone.
This week I completed my 3D Printed 1/35 Industria Mechanika Implausible Squid Submersible.

Printed on AnyCubic Mono X using standard grey resin and painted entirely with Mr. Color paints.
Two 42mm watch crystals were used for the porthole glass and the fully-movable limbs were bolted together using M2 nuts and bolts.
An immensely satisfying start-to-finsh build.

Industria Mechanika started a Patreon in January and this kit is one of several available for the Patreon’s to download.
It is their intention to start selling the 3D files in the Industria Mechanika online shop from March, and I think this squid sub will cost $25.00.
