Pz.Kpfw III Ausf. L - 10 Pz.Div. - Tunisia 1943 Tamiya 1:35

Post by RodolfoMas »

Hi all,
I started to build this "old" Tamiya kit:

as usual a quick look inside the box:

To better detail the kit I'll try to use this aftermarket PE: Part P35-127 Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.L

and I would like to use this friulmodel track:

Those tracks and Pe will certainly dress it up a lot. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Hi all,
I made this tool, based on instruction published by producer, to make faster the Friulmodel Tracks assembling phase .. what do you think about it?
Any tip, as usual, is welcome ... :D

There's a lot going on with that tool and to be honest I'm not sure how much quicker it would be using that method. I myself and I haven't ever assembled fruils would be to assemble them in a slot on edge so I have plenty of finger room to insert the wire from above. Insert wire then cut it off to length, but I maybe wrong. Cutting to length then straightening the shorter bits might be easier...dunno.
I'm ready to be shot down now.....

great build Rod :  , and as for being shot down Digger it really is a horses for courses with these Fruils - I just think Fruil could sell them ready made and save me inserting pins 5mm into my thumb every time....

Excellent job so far! Looking forwards to seeing the rest of the build. Nice choice with the Friul tracks - the cleaning up is a PITA to be sure but the final effect is first class.
