Lancaster walkaround

Hello everyone,
today I've visited our Canadian National Aviation Museum in our capital with my son. So this is going to be the first post of a few detailing planes we could get a good glimpse at. The first one, being the most impressive one to me, the Lancaster. The one display never actually serve in any mission. It was built and send to Europe just at the end of the war.

Picture #5 is where my uncle Les sat for 37 operations, 30 of them on the Lancaster, 7 on Wellingtons before that. The RAF screwed up his records on transfer resetting the ops count to 0. Although when he rotated to the air gunnery school they suddenly re-appeared....

As Scott said really brave man ! I was trying to explain to my 7 year old that someone would sat there and he wouldn't believe. Even him understood the courage it took and he doesn't know much about WW II
