Diggers Phobia's

Post by digger303 »

The subjects and the why's
Never built a car and the finer details like rubber edging and getting a good shiny paint job puts me off.
Image

Never built a full resin kit and this one has lots of small stuff that is levels above me.
Image

Even though I prefer tanks this one has a big problem to sort out in that the out rigger tracks don't fold all the way down properly.
Also the DS tracks crumbled some time ago and need replacements. The replacements are a bitch with a awful number of parts and clean up is a nightmare.
Image

Never built a biplane even though I think they are cool. Rigging scares me and my 2 left fat thumbs.
Image

These might seem like a red herring however when I bought it it included some very old resin upgrades which over the course of time or perhaps the previous owners storage problems has seen the resin bend and distort hugely. Never used a resin conversion so this is new to me too.
Image

So there you have it all the reasons why I haven't built these monsters. Mind you I had others as well , but I had to draw the line in the sand somewhere.

I am going biplane vote
The rigging is simple once you know where it needs to go

My second choice was the staff car

I went with the staff car. It's speaking to me for some reason.

That's an interesting collection of options!

I went for the weasel as I didn't even know that existed :)

And I think this was due to start of 1st September

Hmmmm sneaky Canadian got the drop on me

Yes there were heaps of the weasels about in ww2 yet you never see them get a mention or even in the old films they are despicably absent.

:cheers2:

Ps ...do I get a casting vote ?

T28 all the way! The fact that a tank that big went missing for 27 years is hilarious.
