Podcasts....modeling of course

I'v not long discovered podcasts and couldn't help but notice no one mentions them so I though I would create a list of the whats good.
I use spotify as my podcast service.Great to listen to while modeling and sometimes pick up a great tip.
Feel free to add to the list and comment please.

On the Bench....maybe the first one ever on modeling...

They is a Canadian based podcast out there as well, which I have yet to tune into that is supposed to be good.
The beauty of podcasts you don't have to be at the bench. Driving to work or while doing other things you would rather not be doing.
On the bench has over 100 episodes at around 2hrs each....it requires serious dedication to catch up. One down side with these guys is they don't always keep within range of the microphones so sound levels can die away at times and for me with a level of deafness it can be a issue.

Hi Digger

This really pricked my ears, as I have really got into Podcasts and luckily my Audio unit in the shed is keyed up for Bluetooth and being able to play Podcasts.
I have really found these interesting and soothing whilst modelling and I shall give this a listen.

I'll have to look into these. I've been listening to some museum podcasts which have been fascinating. The whole procurement process and how they handle donations and collections is very involved.

Looks interesting. I usually listen to music when at the bench but a modelling theme cast sounds like fun.

Two WW2 history podcasts I would recommend would be “We have ways of making you talk” with Al Murray and James Holland and the WW2 podcast which speaks to authors about a wide variety of subjects. Not strictly modelling but I do listen to them while modelling!

Reviving this thread a bit.

For miniature painting "Trapped Under Plastic" is a great one with two very very good painters. One of whom won a crystal brush. They discuss more of the high-end very detailed figure and bust painting.

"Paint Bravely The Podcast" is another great one. Both of the painters are a bit less experienced that TUP; but, they focus on having fun when painting.

If anyone's interested.....

I have a CD given to me by the creator called POW - About the Japanese in SE Asia WW2 and the Aussie Dutch English and some American pows under their control - its basically 10 or 15 hour long episodes of interviews of the Aussie war prisoners and they talk about their experiences. Made in the 80's by an Aussie TV host and it was aired on Australian Radio - ABC - back in the day. You cant buy it.

I read the author's book on the subject, wrote a letter to him, and he gave me a copy of POW and said I could share it around. He did a lot of work in TV, but said the POW series was his greatest contribution to media.

If anyone would like the series I can put a link up for you to download. It's fascinating.
