Has anyone else had an email from photobucket saying that you can no longer post pictures to a third party unless you upgrade to the full 500 plus grade

If you go to some older (and not so old) threads you'll find photos blocked by PB. Most are moving to Flickr for photo hosting.

Time to assign Photobucket to dustbin of history mate. Flickr is great, get an account and get stuck in. :th:
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

Shame that Photobucket users have that grey watermark impressed on their pictures. Only way around this is I guess is to locate your subject either in the top or bottom third of the frame! LOL! Nah! Use someone else instead!

At some point the others will have to charge a membership fee or bombard people with ads. Revenue is needed to pay for huge server banks and internet access.

I would settle for the ads. If all forums and hosting sites started charging fees there would probably be a massive drop in their individual users being forced into being very selective about what sites they could afford to use.

I also use Imgur and find it is very easy to upload from my phone or computer, and integrates here without a hiccup.

When they made the switch to charging folks? All of my stuff vanished. Gone! Vapor! And no warning either! All my links from pics stored there into sites where I posted? GONE! Now these wonderful folks are putting that stupid ghost on every pic? I really wouldn't mind if they put the thing in a corner but emblazoned across every stinking thing? C'mon! I use Imgr now and have not had a lick of trouble.

Ya same here. Photobucket did a $400/yr ransom when they changed from free format and held all photos hostage
They pissed off a lot of people and ruined forum internet sites in favour of FB

I'm at 999 pic's on photobucket and not adding another pic. All my pic's are still there and I haven't used it in a age. All on Imgur now.
