Tamiya Instructions - parts with double brackets

Post by Jigsaw333 »

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone knows why some parts in Tamiya Instructions are in double brackets (( )).
They don't seem to be 'handed' parts or where there are more than one on the sprue..
Any ideas,
Cheers,
Simon.

From memory I think that usually refers to a section you've already assembled...

But if you can put up a pic that might help us figure it out :th:

Here's a pic as requested.
Its the new Tamiya Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP GSX-RR 2020. So it a new kit, but I've seen it in older Tamiya kits but never worked out what they stand for.?

In Block 5 to top left it seems to say, beside the illustration of the screwdriver that the double brackets refer to internal views of the part number referenced - the example they use being ((C8)).

Yep I think it's just showing where you have to work on those parts before you add them to the main assembly (either cut, make holes or add decals in this case).

Right below where it says ((C8)) Inside it also says ((C8)) Outside.
I haven't started building yet so when I get to that bit I'll report back if necessary.
    Cheers all Neils.

It appears that it is showing a different/alternative view of a part. Inner or outer or above or below...
