1. Have you ever used the ISM Modeller's Toolkit?
Yes, but I have only use the scale calculator.

2. What's your favorite tool?
So far, the scale calculator is the only thing I have used.

3. Is there a tool that you would like to see added to the toolkit?
Maybe something that you could type in a subject and it gives all the pictures on ISM related to that subject. Kind of like the search bar but specifically for pictures only.

4. Any other suggestions appreciated.
A tool that would help with weathering??

Well have use the scale calculator and the thinner too. Both of them really useful. Tried the paint one but not working for me... may be because of my computer...?
No idea for anything else.
May be an index of paint used for different subjects ? but would be pretty hard to build that kind of database.

1. Have you ever used the ISM Modelers' Toolkit?

Only a couple times, but now that this set of questions have reintroduced me to it (I previously forgot it was there) I think I will be using it a lot more, THANKS!

2. What's your favorite tool?

Not sure if I have a favorite, but I can tell you that the paint mixing guide and scale converter will be used regularly. I also think the color guide will be accessed frequently.

3. Is there a tool that you would like to see added to the toolkit?

- model (stash/collection) inventory spreadsheet with sorting capability by scale, manufacturer, and subject.
- page with hot links to the popular model manufacturers customer service data (for missing or broken parts replacement)
- page listing upcoming events (contests, shows, etc.) and club listings (?)

4. any other suggestions appreciated

Two things... first kudos to you, the forum's IT people for asking these set of questions; second is a big thank you for the work you do in keeping this site up and running (software, administration, etc.). Without your dedication and support this web site would not be even half as good as it is already. THANK YOU.... YOU ALL ROCK!

While I do like that idea, it would be difficult to implement. Since most of us integrate images from other sites they aren't indexed and searchable. I will keep thinking of a way that we could do that. One thing that could be done is to integrate a google image search. However, that would probably be abused by some of our heavy meme contributors. *cough* @Twokidsnosleep *cough*

I do like that idea. I am planning on adding a save and display feature for specific kits. It could also work for generic subjects like "Spitfire Cammo."

The paint reference does exist. After you select your desired paint range on the right, a small link appears that says "View All."

I have contacted the admin at Scalemates about a potential integration. We lost touch but he was open to the idea, we just never made it to anything specific.

That's exactly what I meant. Had trouble explaining It in English. Like you said spitfire used those colors, a Su-27 those colors, etc. and may be even had their equivalent in different companies. But a lot of work.

    1. Have you ever used the ISM Modeller's Toolkit?

Yes, for some scale conversions. Haven't messed with the other parts.

    2. What's your favorite tool?

Tamiya sharp pointed side cutters. Easily the best tool I've bought that get used regularly.

    3. Is there a tool that you would like to see added to the toolkit?

A circle cutter. Then I could make my own wheel masks among other things.

    4. any other suggestions appreciated

    Thanks for the hard work!

    1. Have you ever used the ISM Modeller's Toolkit?
I've had a quick play with all of the tools but generally only use the paint colour selector for matching different ranges.

    2. What's your favorite tool?
    Definitely the Colour Selector :)

    3. Is there a tool that you would like to see added to the toolkit?
I like the idea of a link into Scalemates as I use that a lot especially to check the provenance of "New Releases"

I also like the paint scheme by subject type idea mentioned by bfrd & garion earlier

    4. any other suggestions appreciated
Not really other than to add my thanks for all you do to keep this place up & running for us
    Cheers, Neil
