Tamiya Lola T93/00 Ford IndyCar - Nigel Mansell Red#5

Completed the car "The Lion" drove to his CART IndyCar Championship in 1993 his rookie season, the year after winning the F1 World Championship. Not so much a rookie race driver...

Built OOB with a new set of decals from Indycals - the originals were yellow.
White is decanted TS-26 and the black is the new (to the US) LP SGB.













Had a lot of fun building this one and made the "usual" mistakes, for me anyway. Ready to get on the next one...

I wish they weren't so expensive and, sorta, hard to find - I did this for a friend and I would really like to have this one on my shelf. Some of the plastic was very brittle, that was the only draw back to this one, but, other than that it went together as a typical Tamiya kit.

Thanks Keith! I like any race car, but yes, a Nige race car is usually pretty special.

Gonna jump back on the Jaeger Alfa that I had just started before packing up to move. Gonna be busy this summer with family coming in (we did move to central Florida... ) so may struggle to find time to work on it.
