Revell 1/32 P-51D-5NA Mustang - Ready for inspection

Post by Nikola »

Well folks, I didn't believe that I will say this after about a year and a half but she is ready for inspection!

OOB with Eduard Look IP and seatbelts.
Painted with Tamiya, Gunze and Vallejo paints.
Weathered with various filters, Tamiya, Ammo and Vallejo washes, Prismacolor silver pencil, AK weathering pencils and Vallejo and Revell pigments.

I am very satisfied with the end result, with a couple of mistakes made which I can live with. I enjoyed the process very much and learned some valuable lessons for the future. :)

Best,
Nikola

Super job :th:
Just the right mix of weathering and use look
I love the straight on front and straight on ready photos…really shows the cool wing/fuselage shape of the Mustang
Awesome

Beautiful work. You've captured that used and slightly abused look perfectly.

I can picture it on the runway getting ready for one of those epic USAAF bomber escort missions
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
