Nice car that Williams. Should be an awesome final model with all that add on detail. Good luck with it.

Thanks cor. The only thing i was short for the build were the C/F decal sheets but they arrived this morning.
I'm unsure whether to do a build thread or not, there are plenty on-line as it is. Mine wont be and different to the other Top studio builds i wouldnt think.I always take pictures of every build i do just to look back on, so i could change my mind at any stage.
Thanks for the interest πŸ‘

Just spent the last hour reading through this thread. Wow!! Love it and fantastic job!
Can't believe I missed this one and had a huge smile on my face the entire time. I've got this one and the Williams as well and have bookmarked this as a reference. Thanks for sharing, beautiful job!!: :

Thanks Barry πŸ‘ my modelling ability is average at very best but the pictures just dont do it justice. The Top studio detail parts are incredible and worth every penny. They totally transform an already fantastic model. You'll enjoy every minute of it. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

The candy gold paint is spot on for the anodized actuators. Cheers kev πŸ‘

I knew there were still some bits and pieces still to add to finish it off altogether, so i dug out all the parts to do and thats whats in the little bag.

The one thing that has bothered me for months were the radiators. I was never happy with the hose clips as it was tricky to get them round, and rolling them round a drill bit or piece of rod as suggested in the instructions never gave good results, they always 'kinked' on the holes.I had also lost a couple of pieces of PE that had pinged off just handling the thing. So, after many months of swithering i decided to just buy a radiator set on it's own. It just seemed insane to spend that amount to get what was really eight hose clips, but after debating myself i realised most of that set could be used on any car, sure, there are parts that are specific to the mclaren but most of it can be used anywhere.
That still left the issue of still trying to get the hose clips close to being round. The only thing i could come up with was brass tube cut in half lenth wise to push them into shape and to my suprise, it worked a treat.

Thanks Digger. It was a big relief when it worked, plus it was quick and easy.

Thanks scott πŸ‘I'ts good to be back.
I think i just burned myself out with this build and needed a complete brake, i kind of did the same thing with the big Enzo. Seems to be a pattern with me :wall:

Hi,

Great job on this pretty difficult mix of original kit parts and detail set.
