Make a note guys. This is likely the ONLY WWI plane you will see me buy. Not planes I yearn to build, and the U.S. had no real presence due to lack of advancement here because of patent suites with the Wrights. Plus, no way I am doing that rigging. But I AM fascinated by the early tanks from the war. Go figure.

Nice buy.... I've got one on my wish list someday and like you said it has minimal rigging.

I picked these up today from the local post office ( we have to go collect everything) and like before this purchase is motivated from FOMO as the business closed....never thought it would I just assumed Archer would get sold.

(a bit) Far from military kits this race car :

Image

I love the "spear-shaped" design, this car was so strong that it could (and always can) take part of safari races, very good for a "civil" car originally.

Wow, nice detailing everyone. You are all like me (kind of) as I buy a kit and then spend twice the amount in after-market details to finish it. This last build I told myself it was going to be out the box, no after-market. Since then I've recently purchased the following items for the build.

I believe if we hosted a group build for out of the box builds only, nobody would be able to participate.

Gotta say that we are in a modeling nirvana right now with the quality of model kits and detailing supplies available. I remember in the 70's watch Step Payne build his Monogram diorama's mostly with scratch items and thought it couldn't get any better. Today our builds are limited only by our imagination, abilities, and wallet.

That's a neat little Focker. I got the old kit of the Focker tri-plane still to build. It's molded in red and includes several plastic figures (pilot and crew) with it. Can't remember the manufacturer and it's most likely not up to the level of detail in these new kits. And no, I couldn't build it OOB either as I've already purchased some gun details.

That is by far my favorite Lancia of all time. I have it in numerous scales and look forward to following your build.

Hey digger, those decals were purchased on Ebay. They are a brand from Tiawan, the brand name Phoenix. Phoenix No.SP3200 WWII Luftwaffe decal for 1/32 scale Ar 196, Ju-87, Bf 110, Fw-190, He 111, Bf 109 and Ju-88 plus bonus of 1/48 scale for Ju-52. The vendor: TFW1959 who has sold thousands of items and has 100% positive feedback. For being out of country, they shipped immediately and arrived in less than two weeks and they look to be of good quality too.

The seat belts seem to be done very well. Not sure if I will used them on the Arado, instead I may use them on my 1/32 Stuka JU87 G2.

I've had one on my shopping list for a while to suit a Churchill and yes they do seem to be very pricey for what you get. One came up for a Sherman yesterday, but I held off and bought a caravan instead.

      And another delivery!!!
I got a birthday voucher from Hobbycraft so I used it to get these:
      Image

      Image

      Image

I built the first two so they are familiar - the Italeri one is new to me so I've had a quick look. Good news is its RHD and the tilt sides have the aerial lead flaps for an FFR version which opens many possibities.:)
The not so good news is a Series Landrover stores the pioneer tools on the tail gate in 3 pieces - shovel, pick-axe helve and pick-axe head. Italeri have supplied the pick-axe with the head assembled onto the helve. They've also not converted the rear tub panels from LHD to RHD so the number plate and Landrover badge are on the wrong sides - some convrsion work to do there!! :)

I'm finally back home after a month long work trip, which means... hobby time!

As is tradition, upon returning home I visited my local hobby shop to view the wares. Additionally I'd gotten an e-mail stating I could take $20 off of purchase of $75 or more.

        The results.

They also had a Baby Yoda and a restock of Stormtroopers. My guess is Bandai is reprinting some of their older kits. They're a super hard company to get any meaningful news out of.

This arrived today - I ordered it around Q2 this year from an Airfix/Hornby e-mail offer and its finally arrived (I'd forgotten all about it to be honest).

Nice models as well Scott. I used to only build cars and planes. I've been itching to do so again but armor keeps calling louder

Good kit from what I have seen and I just recently saw a 3d 50cal mg and that was beautifully made. I believe it was on the cover of the AFV modeler magazine.
A great match to this kit if you decide to go that way.

Picked up a squad of Vespid Singwings. I've never seen one in stock anywhere in-store/online, so it was exciting to get a chance to buy and build these guys (even though I think they're significantly over priced.) They're part of the Tau army auxiliaries.
