Help with Alclad satin coat

Post by Yanni »

Hi all,
Newbie here!
I am most of the way to completing my model and started to spray a satin coat on (Alclad) before putting on the decals. The bottle said to spray at 10-12 PSI, so I turned down the compressor. It would appear that something is not right as I am getting white deposits as I spray. I hope they will vanish as it dries but otherwise it is going to be a real pain! Can anyone advise?

The Satin is Alclad as I posted. It appears to have cleared mostly. I just wasn't expecting to see white deposits :)

Sometime it does that, it can be jarring at first but usually clears up!

You can try dropping the pressure a little bit more and spray really light coats leaving a minute or two between coats. Building this stuff up slowly😊

And be careful because those varnish have a shelf life time once they are open.
