Hello from Norway

Post by Nick73 »

Hi guys, thought I'd introduce myself.I live in Stavanger, Norway. Have been on the FB page asking some questions:) as I al new to this hobby. Well almost, I off cause build a couple of cars and airplanes as a child, but nothing massive og detailed, almost no painting, just glueing sets together. So no real experience.
But now, me and my 14 year old son has started this journey together :)
I have just build a garage for my motorcycle building, and this is where I'm setting up my modelling building as well. At the moment I'm on the workbench for my bike building, so I need no create a new desk/bench for this as well, but I'm ok for now.
Have already used a ton of money on some 1/24 cars, ready to start. Also got my self a lot of tool, paint, airbrush and probably a lot of stuff I don't need :D
But, its a lot of fun, really enjoying myself:D
Watching a lot of YouTube videos, and has learned a lot from Pauls videos already โ˜บ๏ธ
Looking forward to get to know you guys!

Hello Nick, and :welcome: to the ISM forum.

When you get a moment please check out the forum guidelines which can be found ---> here

We'd love to see your work & progress but in order to post photos you will need to host them on an external site such as Flickr and then link to them from the forum. Unfortunately the forum currently doesn't have sufficient capacity or bandwidth to host directly uploaded photos.

There is a quick guide on how to use the Flickr integration on the forum ---> here and a couple of step by step guides in here

As well as the forum boards there is a really useful Modeller Toolkit available which can help with paint matching, paint thinning, glue types & a scale calculator that can be found ---> here

We also run a number of group builds & special interest groups through the year so feel free to enter any of those that you like the look of - once they're set up they can be found ---> here

Otherwise take a look around and join in, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Have fun!
Cheers, Neil

The cabinet is a Sparmax SB-88

It might look a bit bigger then it is, due to the wide angle lens on my camera

Welcome! Be sure to share your work, and your son's build too! I think that following everyone's builds serves to increase all of our skills
