Thanks always lots of positivity coming through guys :th: :th:

I stopped procrastinating and added the Mig water and then placed the plane in the previously prepared trough lines.
In this first pic I've added maybe up to 5mm thick of this water product to try to make the base water line more believable in respect to levels.

Here is the jetty side to which I added maybe 1-1.5mm of product. It took a inordinate time to cure ...2 days. Even the thinner application which I thought was unusual for PVA. Perhaps the paint additive caused or slowed down the curing.
However I really wasn't prepared for this

It didn't seem to want to even flatten out even a little bit. Which was good I think, but I had to use a paint brush and go all over in a vibrating action to get it to settle and not have any sharp projections.

Well i went back and used the same product with a brush and just filled them all in and so far the cracks haven't re appeared.

I then went on to finish the dock. It took me a age messing around with a simple tyre to get it to look as good as I could get it. I really needed another one, but this was the only spare I had which came from a loose box of wheels I bought cheap 2 yrs ago. I finally justified spending that $10t...

And that's all folks, it's done thanks to those who followed along.

    Thank you.
I should have pre painted the ali foil as it shows through where the water is thin if you look closely.

My favourite part was the wood deck :D
On your recommendation I used the VMS decal solution and even though it makes the decals sticky and they have a tendancy to fold over on
themselves. I really like the way the carrier film has 99.8% disappeared. Then with a matte varnish they almost look painted on. That's my favourite bit on the aircraft.
I used VMS smart mud for the ground work and found it is really tricky toi get a smooth flat surface. A churned up result for a tank track is dead easy.

Yes I agree for a lake bank area it is very dark and a resin would have been a better product to use where in the shallows you could peer into the depths.
Unfortunately due to inexperience I used the Mig product and it is way too dark. Out in the middle of the lake it would be fine

    Thanks guys
