Hasegawa - SR-71 Blackbird

My first entry (possibly only, who knows) is the Blackbird by Hasegawa. It is an incredibly simple kit with very few parts. It comes with a strange monkey-looking figure which may be intended to be a pilot. I won't be using it. I forgot to grab sprue shots, but there are only 2 (3 if you count the canopy).

The initial build took only a few minutes.

Masking off the canopy took quite a bit longer.:

I have it Stynylrez gray primer so I can see the black go down easier.

Excuse the super-messy spray booth. That is the downside to having a huge booth.

I have the base paint down. I used Vallejo Air NATO Black for the tires, Vallejo Air Steel for the landing gear, and Stynylrez black for the main color.
