Postie called again today - twice actually as he missed a package and had to return.
First was a contour guage needed for the Stingray project:

Second was a Tamiya razor saw, 2mm styrene sheet and 1mm styrene rod also for the Stingray project:

Any Hurricane or Spit, like a Mustang or Corsair is a good build right? Perhaps you can add a spare track link or two on the wings?

All I got since our last update was a Vietnam era helicopter crew for my Sky Crane (and another 1/18 die-cast car).

I haven't been posting much as my family and I were on a Western Caribbean Cruise for a week and just got back. I've also been working quite a bit on our yard already this spring. Then there are baseball games and other events as the weather improves over here.
On the table or recently completed:

      1/18 AV8-B Harrier - WIP
1/35 Churchill AVRE with SBG Bridge Diorama - DONE
      75mm BMW R75 WW2 motorcycle with rider - DONE

I might just do that although I don't like reading books off a screen. Maybe a bit each night might work.

Not exactly postie, but having visited two model shows without buying anything I caved in at my third attempt yesterday and picked this up - being a sucker for early war armour and also being five quid cheaper than on t'internet
      Image

I also found a trader selling 3d printed figures, accessories & vehicles so picked up these dudes in scaffolding (not sure about the pink...)

The pink will be fine, it is just the resin colour selected
Careful with the support sprues as it is easy to chip the figure when removing
Do an Ipa wash when you get it all un-sprued to remove any residues

Thanks for the tips - I've got most of the scaffolding off without damaging anything but still need to do some neatening.

I hadn't thought about washing them though - even though I always do with resin figures

Couple more for me this week...

I've been dithering on this one for a while; I know it's a Dragon rebox and apparently it has some dimensional issues, but I finally decided that the stash "needed" an RSO so pulled the trigger
      Image

And also in the same package a chunk of resin to go on the rear deck of my StuG

M1918 155 howitzer and the M60 look really nice. The box art is so dynamic it just pulls me in.
Good on Andy's for looking after you.

I'd love to hear your opinion on those T-34 tracks once you use them :th:
Just for you I opened the pack and assembled 10 links. They have a molded in pin on every second link and you have to insert alink on a angle into the first pin and then stretch the second gap apart while also bending it a little in order to get the plate into the last pin. My fingers hurt a little after those 10. I did break 1 pin. Are there any spares ? I'm not sure, but I think there is about 160 links with maybe another 10 extra ones with pins.

They look ok to me and better than spending 60 bucks on metal or 3d tracks.

Wife is getting naggy - 'cos the postie came again today. Twice. :) And then the Amazon guy rolled up......
First up was a big box full of the styrene needed for the Stingray project:
        Image

Then there was a package with Tamiya primer, another with a PE set for the Airfix Hampden. And the final one from Amazon with a pair of clamps (I went to order from that Swedish site - and they'd sold out!! :( )

          Nothing like a stock up.
After helping me find those clamps and you missed out :(
They do work well. the pads have to be Ca'ED on as mine kept peeling off.
          I had one extra clamp ( 3 in a set)that I knew I wasn't going to use so I gave it to a mate.

Nothing much lately, just dome 1/16 WW2 American uniform decals, but I have a couple other items in route and I'll post them once they arrive.

digger; That Gloster Gladiator looks really neat!

Neal; you can NEVER have too much shaped, sheet, and extruded styrene / plastic of various styles.

And I really need one of those paint racks too.

First, a couple Jolly Roger flags for the top of the Pearl…the current build

Also a RAF set of wings patch for a Spitfire shadow box display I have on the back burner

A very nice cockpit and I'm sure the patch will look cool in the display too.

More postal happiness. The paint for the lower hull of the ASR launch and the 0.5mm + 0.75 mm masking tape for Stingray!
