Dried blood (paint) arrived today so after some experimentation this one is now complete and pictures are in the reveal thread.
I have to admit, looking back, this has been more fun than I thought it would be so I may even try another. :) Be nice to to be able to say I managed to get the eyes just right... :)

    Pretty good outcome. I like it ,and the smearing of blood was a good idea although I don't normally go for that.
    It being such a old conflict it seems ok in my mind not that you need any ones approval. Just explaining how my mind
    mulled this over.

    Thanks Digger :) I used the dried blood basically because the only guide I had to how the figure should look finished were the sellers photos - which included the blood. Given the nature of mediaeval warfare its not out of place I think.
