Ok guys I started a new one, because I started to slow ...hell I was procrastinating so in order to keep up the momentum I started this one.
Not a lot of parts in this one spread over 4 medium sprues.
This is all I've done.

On the topic of this site, I hope it doesn't get closed. This was the first forum I joined when I got into scale modelling and it would sadden me greatly to see it go.

Now this will give everyone a better understanding if they haven't googled it


And where I'm up to.


It's not a perfect fitting kit, but it is also not beyond anyone either. Silly things like having to cut the teeth
off the elevation gears in order to get the pinions to locate correctly. Plus a few of the locating points needed to be
deepened or trimmed with the gunners seat frame work being a little painful. So thin and me being fat fingered
trying to get it to fit without breaking the pipe work. Invariably dropping it many times in my effort to reduce
the force I'm applying. Plus the usual directions not quite showing how it connects properly.

Next step is to continue to fit the second gunners seat, fit the rest of the PE, add the sighting system and she's about complete.

Trivia.
The challenge of actually successfully operating this bit of hardware was never overcome. Even after many years of development work. Conceived in 1930 only one prototype was built and to my knowledge never used in combat. The materials available at the time didn't allow this to be pushed into production as the simultaneous firing of 8 barrels continuously was too much stress. I pity the poor gunners that had to sit on this thing.
Not much else is known about this little dead end of history.

Too bad they never managed to get it to function properly, that's a helluva lot of fire power. Those gunners would have their brains rattled to death firing that monstrosity
