Looks like a nice subject. Always happy with a 1/48 from Eduard. Enjoy
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

thanks guys
slow going but progressing. glossed the cockpit gave it a wash, matt coated and then used ammo's ultra glue on the dials seems to work pretty well. fitted the fuselage halves and all looked good, glue it together and the gaps showed up :bash: . not the end of the world a little putty and shes good to go.
until next time krusty

thanks guys. i forget on my last post to do a quick rundown on the paint. mr surfacer 1000 primer (i'm out of 1500), preshade with hataka night black, mr color gray and blue gray mixed about 50/50 with mlt. i spray very light coats until the preshading is close to where i want it, then add some white to the paint just enough to alter the color mix in more mlt about 70/30 and highlight the middle of the panels and tone down any of the preshading that seems a little heavy.
the wildcat needs one clear coat to seal the decals and i should be able to start weathering tomorrow.

thanks krusty

hey guys i got some painting done on the wildcat. trying something new for me, a little post shading. mixed about a 1/3 of a paint cup of mlt with a 4 drops of a sand color and went over the model, then added a couple of drops of field drab and did the same. for the first time i'm mostly happy with the results, not so sure on my color choices. added the flat coat and just have the fiddly bits to finish up :th:
thanks krusty
