Hey it has arrived and without further wonder I cracked it open and inspected all 3 sprues...



It certainly doesn't disappoint with the level of detail there are a few mold lines which I guess is still to be expected, but they are noticeable at this scale. However it doesn't detract from the kit as they are fine and won't take much to level them.

What extra did you have with it ? Mine was with resin wheels. And my expert set with PE and mask

No extra's, just a basic kit no PE no mask. I got a crude paper template for masking...

I can tell you at 64 it isn't any easier and I'm not used to old age yet. Both my parents are still going at 91.5 for dad and 83 for mum and they have been complaining about aches and pains for a long time. Maybe you become used to it, but it's a long time to be achy. Still got all their own joints too. Dad has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer despite having the operation when he was 68. Very important to keep a check on PSA levels.

I think it doesn't matter where you live, Austrillia, North America, England, or anywhere else; living with this "age" thing along with its aches and pains is a p-a-i-n. But I guess it is better than the alternative (not living). I'm 64 as well and have had orthroscopic surgery on both my knees. I've also had various broken bones in my feet, ankles, legs, etc. Along with that I also have pinned, and fused feet that can tell the weather changes better than any forecaster. One thing I found that has made a near 90% recovery was getting professional custom shaped orthotics for my shoes. While they are not cheap and take several doctors visits, they align the pressure points in your feet along with correcting your postures alignment through your ankles, knees, and hips. While it may just make life better until the eventual surgery, I would highly recommend them prior to any operation.

Enough of that... soon my order for supplies will be arriving to include new files, side cutters, a hole punch and die set, new paint racks, quality tweezer set, and some other stuff. Photos when they arrive..... 9 more days till Christmas, hope everyone is prepared.

Hah!! Youths the pair of you. I'm 67, been blown up once (that was enough!!), broken both ankles more times than I care to remember, deep fried both feet in an RTA, had knee problems for years,finslly got an an appointment for keyhole surgery to fix the torn meniscus in both knees - only to have the consultant retire just before the op was scheduled and then have the new, bright young thing that replaced him, tell me I am too old and surgery won't be cost effective and cancel the op. So every few months now I have to get a needle stuck in each knee and be injected with a sterooid solution!!

I know you have had a rough trot and I've and many others have been relatively lucky. Only broken bone I've had is in my wrist...slipped in a creek bed and hand went down between some rocks. Been in about 6 car accidents ( I was the driver ) and walked away without a scratch.....skill !

No grenade - IED as they are now known Luckily for all involved on my side the idiot who detonated it truly was an idiot and blew it too early.

RTA = Road Traffic Accident. In this case hitting the back end of a Saracen APC with the nose of a Stalwart. Impact was so bad it bent the armoured rear door of the Saracen into a banana and bent the frame of the Stalwart. Heater matrix in the cab of the Stawart split on impact and filled my boots with coolant at about 130 deg C. Felt the intial pain ,thought I'd fractured both ankles again so first aider left the boots on. Took 1 5 hrs for paramedics to arrive by which time I had 3rd degree deep penetration burns to 75% of my feet and ankles. Not a pretty sight, even to this day.

Back on topic - these arrived today so work can resume on the King Tiger!!

It comes with articulating individual track links made of plastic and the suspension is suppose to move as well. I think my current build of the Churchill AVRE had something to do with this....

I suppose I'll need to look for another British or Austrialian tank crew as I like to have a crew to show the scale better.

Nice pick up.
The Aussie Centurions are quite different from the British versions. Mainly because of the extra fuel tank attached to the back and the extra glacis plate armour. Yours looks very British, plus we didn't have the extra armour on the turret.

I like the artillery tractor. I remember when going to "the range" while stationed in West Germany we used those old AMX tanks as targets in the impact area. I always thought the turret looked different too. I built on of those 1/32 Boeing P-12's from Hasegawa many years ago. As I remember, they are pretty basic kits with average fit, but they could do with a detail kit for sure.

The motorcycle and rider will take one day just to remove and clean-up the molding channels, but I thought it was a nice looking piece. The A-7 Corsair cockpit is for an up and coming build.
