The saga of the missing 6 Viggen kits continues. All others have been delivered successfully, only the 6 sent to the UK on the 16th Feb 2024 have vanished. JetMads are pursueing this but Royal Mail are not being helpful. This is the state of play thus far:
        19th April 2024
You are receiving this email as one of the recipients of six individual packages of 1:32 AJ37 Viggen kits that have been shipped to the UK on 15th February 2024.

It has been 65 days since the kits have been delivered to Turkish Post and 64 days since the packages have been reported to leave Istanbul, as attached.

We have many times observed that delayed deliveries are general practice in the UK, sometimes stretching even up to nearly two months but now the delivery of your packages are way overdue. Therefore we have today initiated an official inquiry via Turkish Post, who already convincingly have proven to us that the packages have been forwarded to the UK on 16th February and now will take the necessary steps to conduct official correspondence with the RM.

Based on previous experience that a few batches of cargo have been beyond lingered and neglected awaiting for processing in Heathrow for several weeks, we still hope this should be the case until the RM satisfactorily informs us on the whereabouts of the packages.

We are looking forward to receiving a reply from the RM at once to see what their explanation for the delay might be and we will certainly let you know when we have any fresh news to share.

You are kindly requested to inform us in case your packages may hopefully be delivered in the meantime.
        5th June 2024
We would like to inform you that the two offical letters from Turkish Post to Royal Mail on 25 April and 15 May regarding the six missing Viggen packages we have shipped to the UK on 16 February are still not responded. Not only this is the first case ever since we started shipping kits worldwide in 2019 that any package is undelivered and still missing but also the first one that a carrier does not reply to the official letter of another one.

This must be intentional and due to denial of responsibility, we deeply suspect they simply cannot officially claim that the packages have not arrived in the UK and they have no explanation as to why the packages have not been delivered. Or possibly worse, they know what happened to the packages and they do not tell, including a possible loss.

All other Viggens to the UK before and after the shipment of 16 February have been successfully delivered, not to mention the kits of the earlier releases ever before. The shipment on 16 February comprised 34 kits to several countries including yours and we have been shown the records by the Turkish Post that all have been forwarded to their destinations, therefore oce again we are confident they all left Istanbul.

We have requested Turkish Post to send an official letter to British customs service this time, which should in fact must have been done by the RM. We want to know what happened to the packages and who is responsible for whatever has happened.

Please rest assured that we are chasing after the issue and will keep you updated if we ever get a reply.
It would seem Royal Mail are determined to live down to their reputation as established by the Sub-Postmaster scandal.
In the meantime if anyone see's 1/32 Viggens being offered for sale please let JetMads know on contact@jwtmads.com

Being ROYAL MAIL maybe the royal establishment should be told or submit query a why their mail service is so far down the gurgler it's in bog swamp....
I feel you you I know what a bad feeling that is. I do hope they resolve it
I think our service got so much bad reporting from there surveys they got a hurry along and actually did improve it. The same thing was happening pallets of parcels and mail was left at the back and got passed over.
