Airfix Club kit 2024 - Day Duo

Here's the Hawker Typhoon 1b and Spitfire PR XIX, the 2024 club kit release from Airfix.
Both were a delight to build, absolute minimum filler (basically the wing roots on both). They were painted with AK 3rd Gen paint, the Spitfire in PRU Blue, the Typhoon from their "RAF Day Fighter" set. I used the ICM soviet PAG-14 airfield plates as a base rather than the sirty ild cutting mat and white card for the background. Those eagle eyed among you will notice a rocket rail missing from one side of the Typhoon - a replacement has been requested frinmmkm Airfix.

Cheers Digger. I had issues with the Typhoon - did my usual routine of a coat of Vallejo gloss clearcoat before the decals then a coat of matt (Humbrol aerosol) - only this time the two reacted and there's some cloudy spots here and tbere
