Well it's that time of year and the lads (and Bob) are ready for action


This is the last Toon tank they have in the stash so they might need to restock for next year


There are plastic bits in the box




And some other stuff


And a papery thing that they're leaving to Bob


Fully equipped


Our heroes dived right in and glued some parts together... there was a fairly noticeable gap so against my better judgement I let them loose with filler


They also added some weight to make it sit better once the boingy tracks are added


Upper hull was added once the filler was sanded back a bit


Various greeblies were added and the turret came together quickly too


The lads seem happy enough with progress but Bob has a feeling something important may be missing...

Good Friday Bank Holiday in the UK was a productive one for the lads and started with them breaking out the paint squirter


Which resulted in this - and strangely the different coloured barrel wasn't a screw up


After a bit of creative masking and some more squirting they managed to produce a squiggly pattern under the front end


In the meantime Bob had done some archeology in the instructions and unearthed "Section 1" so the lads had a rummage in the box and found some spare parts...


Which were duly nailed to the tank along with the boingy track thingies


Here it is all stacked up & Bob looking much "happier"


Yesterday morning the stowage was painted up & added along with the decals


Just a couple more bits to do and this one will be in the books

OK final bit done this morning - there's a pile of logs on the rear deck that the lads have kitted out with some strapping using 1.5mm masking tape


And that's us done for another year

Thanks mate - yes the orange enigma still supervises the bench...

I've not seen the new Frankenstein but knew it was out there - and nope I hadn't spotted that Poe was playing Victor!
