Although it's almost finished, I thought I'd share my current build with you Gents - Airfix's cracking little 1/35 Ferret mk.II.

It's a cracking little kit if you ever get the chance to build one. I bit clunky in places, but well worth it. I have got plans to build another at some point, as I have a set of replacement wheels along with an interior and exterior detail set from Scorpion models.

A friend of mine at my local club is working his way through about 20 ferrets, covering all the theatres they served in and using after market resin for the different loads and types.

20! Wow, I love the Ferret and I might build another (I have some resin upgrades for the next one) but that's taking it to another level! It'll be interesting to see some pictures when he completes them.

I know a guy in the states that did a display recently of the 1000 1/72 armour kits he's built over the years. I can even imagine building to that quantity.

Making some progress - just the sand mat and some more weathering to do really.

I'm currently drilling the holes out on the sand mat... man I need an electric drill LOL!

Very nice work. Camo has really come out well. Weathering is cracking too

If you buy a drill make sure it doesn't run too fast, as it will melt the plastic and not drill proper.

I'm going to add a tad more dust to it before it's done but I'm quite pleased with it. There's still a lot to learn about this weathering stuff.

Thanks for the advice Digger. I picked up a DSPIAE one that looks quite good.
