I bought a resto-reno Pocher project just after Christmas
So far it hasn’t had much done to it, just a bit of put back together to make it somewhat presentable.
I have another, ahem, two more of these kits as well

These poacher kits need some careful and delicate adjustments and require a skilled hand. Top job done Sir, splendid stuff

Building this one is such an ambitious project. The level of detail on these models is insane and it’s awesome that you're documenting the build through videos. I like how you tackled the suspension. Seeing the progress was truly inspiring

I see you are in Sydney, I live in Darling harbour.
I have started a 8c pocher kit at the deep end...... the wheels.
I am stalled ay number 28. I would appreciate any suggestion or tip so I can move on.

I have a number of these Pocher cars and have re-spoked numerous motorcycles
Can you say what you are having problems with?
It is usually a jig to hold things still, a hub, a rim with correct drilled holes and then bending thin wire

Stage 28 looks to be centring the hub and bending the wire spokes to fit.

Yep it is all a pattern
Hold rim down with jig…screws shown there
Bend wires and apply in appropriate pattern
One you see it it all falls together.
The MFH kits are the same and where I copied my methods

The old Pocher kits must be the swan song of the huge mainly plastic car kit. They do leave a lot to be desired although being hailed as the best thing since sliced bread back in their heyday. Unfortunately some suffered from inaccuracies, but the basis was there to make outstanding very large car models from them.

Super detail enthusiasts of those old Pochers will be disappointed to know that Model Motorcars Ltd in Florida wound up its operation on the 18th of March 2026 by going into voluntary dissolution, following on from the death of Marvin Meit back in December 2025. They had been operating for over 25 years and supplied many after market improvement and replacement parts for the old Rivarossi and for some of the newer Hornby Pochers.I
What will happen to the residue stock of parts upon closure is yet unknown, but I would guess that the liquidators will be looking for a buyer somewhere to take it on.
It is a great pity their website has been taken down as it featured many incredible builds by experienced model makers to be inspired by.
