2026 Summer Sci Fi Spectacular

Post by Twokidsnosleep »

Ok Mates, here we go

Sunday June 21st 12am your local time BEGINS
Monday September 21 12PM your local time ENDS

Our typical Rules and Regs...new kit, not previously started, show us as much work as you can, the process is the most interesting part
Banter is encouraged. Keep everything helpful and not critical. Don't be a that geezer from down the road.
If you have any questions, worried about a kit or subject, please feel free to ask.
We shall see if we get some surprises at the end of the contest

Ah, I don't actually have any 'unstarted' sci-fi kits so I may have to have a re-think. Leave it with me!

Gently started will be fine
Almost finished, well unless you took tons of process photos
We are pretty lenient here.

Ah - good to know. No nothing's too badly started, just some miniatures that have been assembled, but considering that the majority of the work is in the painting that's not much really. Thanks!

These are my two "I really want to get one of them built!" choices. I've had the power loader for many years and bought the Skydiver a year ago or so and a model show. The Skydiver has a warp in the main hull, but that should be easy to clear up. Also, that paint color - oyster gold metallic - that should be fun to find or create.
Which one?!

If it were me it would be a firm NO - that's why they dont give me any real authority round here

Only joking - how could we refuse a Kenny Everett fan anyway?

92 MINUTES TO GO. I'm sat here with the knife ready and the lid off the Tamiya cement. That might explain why I'm high as a bloody kite!

If I put on that wig and silver suit you will not be able to unsee what you have seen. And it will be your own fault.
Try building anything after that brain burn.

I got all excited and ready to start my thread but then disaster struck.

Build threads are still locked
