Hobby Boss U.S. M3A1 ''White Scout Car'' 1/35 early.

Post by xXModellerXx93 »

Hi Everyone here is just a little review of my current build. Now I'm building the ''White Scout Car'' from Hobby Boss in 1/35 scale. It's a very small kit with nice details :thumb1: and i think i will also make a Diorama for it.
So here are just some pictures of the kit.

This is the Picture I've taken to build the diorama. Only some figures are missing.

The next part will deal with the build. See you soon.

Looking forward to more updates, really like the detail of the dashboard clocks, should be a real stunner of a diorama.

I have this kit in my stash. I am a bin man (well recycling box man) and I found this kit complete just the outer box slightly damp. So I will be watching this build closely

Hello , here is just a small update on my build. It's a nice kit. Everything comes perfectly together.
But there was also some filler needed.

These are figures i will use for the dio. It was a little bit difficult to find the right ones.
They are quite nice.

A new update on my Scout Car.
Today i was working on the Diorama and also on the Scout Car.
For the dio i used an old kit from Miniart and glued on a plate of styrofoam and Wood. I'm not that diorama guy : so maybe someone could give me some helpful tips.

Image
Image

The Car is already painted. The first step was to prime the modell with black paint. Then i used Tamiya XF62 and some Yellow from Revell to create some shadows and Highlights. The next step will be to paint the details.

Image

The Figures are not the best but still fine.
I made the belts for the guns with a piece of rubber tape

This looks to be a really cool dio buddy. I think I see what you're planning and it will be a striking piece.

If you are looking for some tips on the base, I'd make sure that the styrofoam is glued with white glue or wood glue to a piece of wood before you add anything else to it.
If you add ground cover to that without attaching it to something solid it will roll up and warp.
A solid base is one of the most important parts of a diorama.

New Update on my Scout Car. It's almost done. The Diorama will take some time but i think it will be great.
The pavement is self made. I cutted Little squares from an old cardboard and glue it on the base.

That is one hell of a piece of work... It's very rarely that modellers use that much action in a diorama. It's difficult to convey. Especially an emotionally charged issue like a dead or wounded soldier.
Most see it as taboo. Which is silly in my opinion.
A great story, well told.
