I must admit I have in the past kicked the backside out of him with bits and bobs I've ordered. The kits came think and fast at one point. I am due a shipment in soon :ship:

Funny you mention that Paul as when I placed the order it showed everything was in stock. Then when I got confirmation 2/3 of my order was out of stock. Never had this happen before. And as stated in a different thread, they mention 2-3 months restocking time.

Might need to reconsider using them if this is going to be a problem.

Loved the Flex-i-File so much went out and bought the three frame one, some paints for my two upcoming IAF builds (SUFA & KFIR), plus some primer for the AFVs I've been talked into getting by Norm and others...!!

So postman delivered this next door so just picked it up on my lunch break....

Italeri's M10 Achilles tank destroyer and Miniart WW2 British Tank Crew. I also ordered some RB models 17pdr shells and casings today as well. I am thinking of perhaps making a diorama where the tank has clearly been holding a position for sometime, but there is a lull and the crew are relaxing, taking stock etc. So will have casings scattered around and some loose rounds as well.

I've been planning on starting a build of this...

Revel's Flower Class Corvette (specifically the HMCS Moose Jaw (K164)) kit number 5112 in a monsterous 1/72 scale.

It's a beautiful kit with lots of goodies. Probably take me months to build.
I recently discovered that my grandfather was the gunnery officer on the mission that ended up with Canada's first sinking/capture of a German U-Boat U-501 in the Denmark Strait south of Tasiilaq, Greenland.
I've ordered the kit from Netmerchants a few weeks ago (cheapest price and instock) and I just got these in the mail today.

I ordered the book on Kursk mostly because it was on my wish list and it cancelled shipping charges. Two birds
I haven't decided yet if I want to start the Moose Jaw first or a 1/16th Tiger I that I just got from HobbyBoss.

The Tiger looks like it's going to need a lot of aftermarket to to be passable by my standards and I don't have anything in that scale in my spares boxes.
So many choices, so little time.

I was looking at the HB tiger and as you say it needs a lot of work to be passable, I'm sure itll be worth it though

You know what Coen, I nearly bought that Flower Class Corvette myself in my LMS about two months ago. It was £99 and the box comes with an immense amount of goodies. Only reason I didn't buy is I've got so many models to do it would be a year befoe I got around to it at least. Will treat myself next year

I build that back in 1983 What a Nut kit that was.... well over 1000 parts... if you have to build your own Raillings still ??? I donated it to a Maritime Museum cuz I could not take it on the road with me... Took me 2.5 years to build ! What a nice kit it was.... but man.. its a Beast !!

I remember reading that the kit has been updated with a few fixes, including railings. We'll see in about a week when it arrives from GB.

I built this kit many years ago, my cats destroyed it completely

The hobby boss 1:16scale tiger is in my stash aswell, made a video kit review about it.

Oh, my first tank! I use chinese glue ( from one bazaar ) to assembly de parts... it wasn't the best idea

By the way! The M1127 RV and M1131 FSV are Idendical externally with a small difference! The Optical suite Has a different mounting Bracket. The rest is internal!

Tamiya's 1/32 p51

searched around and finally got it for £99 delivered from buy for less uk's ebay shop.

Another one to do a video review i thinking it'll be built soon too.

Not going to lie, but what makes that kit so expensive? I bought a 1/32 scale Sea Lynx, brand new tooling from Revell for under £20! I would want to know what I was getting for my £100! lol

I got some models in the post today, no pics yet.

Got Airfix's 1/76 Cromwell tank and a set of Revell WW2 British Infantry in 1/76 as part of a swap with a mate for some unwanted warhammer stuff.

Yes tamiya kits can be a little expensive.

But I know I'm getting a kit that be joy to build with no fit issues or major problems.

You also get a shed load of stuff in the box

Highly detailed instruction book,a4 colour callout, A4 p51 folder, canopy masks, nameplate for the stand, P51 develoment/history book. And very nice decals for three aircraft.

Extra thin engine cowling that house magnets to enable the engine hidden or on show. Rubber tyres, 2 large frets photo etch, fantastic quality clear parts, hinge pins for all the movable parts tail etc, screws/tool,

Shed loads of well moulded and detailed sprues also comes with stand, in which it can be set in flight or you can change to wheels down in a few minutes. Also has pilot in flight or standing position.

If you got all that for £20 from revell I would be very impressed.

I think you get quite a lot for £100 ( the rrp is £125 btw)

Yeah that's alot of nice stuff! I had guessed you got alot more for your money with that kit than say any other 1/32 kit. No you of course don't get all that with the Revell kit lol.

I guess this kit is on par with the 1/32 Zero by Tamiya, it also seems to come with the option to raise and lower the landing gear etc etc.

Yeah the zero is the newer kit, I know on the tamiya 1/32 modern jets you can even alter the weapons payload, pretty cool to be able to change it

Yes a right bargain there Nige, some monies worth new.

I've had a few good bargains from the local charity shops, my gf Hanna keeps coming home with alsorts of cheap goodies, had a few great books for next to nothing and a load of old modelling and aircraft mags too.
