Is Life Color any good ?

Looking at paint sets to use with my new AB and was wondering is Life Color any good ? do thin well with Ultimate thinner ?

its either Life Color or model air, but I do like LC sets

Lifecolour is very nice paint to brush or airbrush, if i didn't have the whole vallejo model colour range i would deco have the lifecolor range instead.

They also spray very nice with Ultimate thinner, no problems whatsoever.

I've just invested in a few of the Life Color sets and I would highly recommend them. I've only brush painted with them so far, so can't comment on how they airbrush. The colours are really good, they mix well and apply really evenly.

I have two of their sets I picked up a few yrs ago and really want to see how they spray


Alex, I've used a few of their paints by brush in the past, found it good but a little thing for me liking as it struck me that the paints were originated toward spraying

Definitely know what you mean about thin, when I first opened them up I thought that I'd have to use them for spraying only. So far, touch wood, they've been fine.

On a vaguely related note, completely by accident I found the perfect storage container for Life Color sets. B&Q do a tool organiser that has separate compartments and by sheer coincidence they are the perfect size for 6 jars of Life Color paints! I can keep the sets together now and the smaller compartments are ideal for Mig pigments etc.

I can confirm that Lifecolor spray lovely and mix well with Ultimate thinner, so roger that...
It's just s bit of a shame that they don't, as yet do, much in the way of British colours (in sets that is)....

I drybrushed these tires with this LifeColor. As far as I used it it worked well as a brush paint.
