Unfortunately haven't started it yet. I have like 7 builds in progress now and all of them in the worst stages like sanfing or masking caniopies. But hopefully most of thwm ( Hobby Boss easy kits) should be finished by end of week so the workbench will be clear for Mi-2.

Finally, I have managed to start the build

So here comes ...

Update #1

Nothing fancy with the update. Just built the cockpit and primed it with AK Interactive primer.
I have made a mistake in this flawless build and glued the cockpit elements on the opposite site... lame me
Fortunately nothing was settled yet and I was able to switch sides

So here are some pics:


Nice detalis on cockpit panel - but there will be some decals on it to add additinal highlights.

I found one minor issue - instructions suggest painting interior with Gunze H56 Intermediate Blue colour - which seems to be to blueish...
Anybody got some clues on what should be the correct colour for Russian modern planes'/choppers' interiors?

The interior colours for Russian aircraft I use are Revell light blue 361/49 and Privateer Press formula P3 Arcane Blue. The last colour in particular is very close to that strange shade of turquoise used on Russian aircraft instrument panels and in fighter cockpits.

Use the Revell mostly, then mix it with a bit of green for the instrument panels. A blue wash can help as well, but that's a matter of preference.

Hi there,
Chancer thanks for tips. I had to choose Vallejo 838 Emerald instead because Revell acrylics are hard to get and PP virtually impossible in Poland. Valleyo isn't bad match. You can have a look, because here comes...

UPDATE #2

So far I finished painting and detailing cockpit. Also put panels decals. So with the next step I will seal the hull.

After long while I've finally found some strength to continue with the build.

I have made camo pattern with Vallejo Air Dark Yellow & GSI H70 (gray) & H304 (Olive Drab). Wasn't perfectly recreated from instructions, but I'm happy with the results
