Up and coming store here in nz is thehobbystop.co.nz with some nice guys who have a good relationship with the guys down the road at weta and wingnut wings.
Free shipping for orders over $50

And a local store that has been extremely supportive of the local club over the last year modelsat747.com
Stand aside caffine, this is a job for alcohol.

Found a site a while back. They don't sell any model kits but paint stands, tables, etc. Sturdy and well worth their price! Can highly recommend them. I assume they are located in Poland ;)

I'd like to add Tower Hobbies, they mainly do RC stuff, but they carry all the major scale model brands. Haven't ordered from them myself, but from what I found they are very reliable and allow you to return almost any item without having to call them. Just fill out a form and send it back for a replacement, no questions asked.

Hi,
Could the following be added to the list?

Clifton Curios at Breedon on the Hill in Leicestershire.

http://www.cliftoncuriosmodels.co.uk/
They are based in the Craft & Antiques Centre at Breedon Priory, only open Saturday & Sunday. Mike the owner is a top bloke, always offers discount & if he doesn't have what you want he'll try & get it. (Managed to get hold of a Dragon MLRS for me including Eduard photoetch set for £27!)

Castaline in Louth Lincolnshire

Unusual place as half is a model shop & half is a fishing tackle shop, hence the "interesting" smell, the owner is a very nice chap & always knocks a bit off his prices, which are predominantly cheaper than most places to start with! No online presence but worth a visit. (Tamiya Elephant £42!)

Railway & Barter Shop in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.

Mainly railway stuff but has a large stock of kits & tools. Nice old boy who runs the place apparently as a hobby! No online presence, again worth a visit.

I'm currently in the Cleveland Ohio area on business and found "The Whistle Stop" 2146 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. They had a good selection of kits but what blew me away was that the guy had every Model Air, Model Color, Tamiya, Model Masters, & Polly Scale color!!! Also had tons of Tamiya tools, and a wide selection of PE kits, metal barrels for tanks etc, Also had all the Ammo washes and effects. Great shop and great prices!

An addition for your Canada section Lee:

A new store that just opened in October 2014 in Saskatoon, SK, Canada: Express Hobbies.

Their web site's still under development as they have just opened, but half the store is dedicated to modelling (the other half is radio control stuff). Good selection of kits and modelling supplies.

Great to see a new LHS opening!!

eBay Seller Dawid4386, trading as Storymodels: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/StoryModels - great service and range of accessories.

For Europe I have a couple editions:

http://www.super-hobby.com

Polish online model shop with great value for money and no fuss lo cost shipping and customer loyalty program. Small draw back is that not all descriptions are converted to English but google translate sorts that out so no worries there

http://www.aviationmegastore.com

The Netherlands based online and real world modelshop located just outside of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. As the name suggest this an aviation only modelshop

http://www.modelbouwoverloon.nl

Also located in The Netherlands small but quaint online and real world modelshop located just outside the gates of the renowned WW2 museum in Overloon The Netherlands.

http://www.shamrock-maastricht.nl

Located just north of Maastricht in The Netherlands this large online and real world modelshop caters to almost all field of modeling.

http://www.realityinscale.com

Resin aftermarket manufacturer from Roermond The Netherlands.

http://blackdog.cz

Resin aftermarket manufacturer from the Czech Republic.

http://www.sceneryworkshop.nl/

Scratch building supplies for diorama's in Nijmegen The Netherlands (site only in Dutch unfortunately, but google translate helps with that)

There are 2 shops, which aren't on the list, both UK-based - Veteranus Model Kits, based in Ripon and also MJR Models and Hobbies, based just outside Bolton - both excellent and have their own Facebook pages for the latter, search "Veteranus" and for MJR, search "Model Kits for Less".

There are a few Netherlands suppliers I use :

Airbrush Services Almere : http://www.airbrush-services-almere.nl
Aviation Megastore : http://www.aviationmegastore.com
Modelbouw Dordrecht : http://www.modelbouw-dordrecht.nl
Sjaaks Hobbyshop : http://www.sjaakshobbyshop.nl
Scenery Workshop : http://www.sceneryworkshop.nl
Modelbouw Krikke : http://www.modelbouwkrikke.nl

Both Airbrush Services Almere and Modelbouw Krikke stock Gunze/Mr Hobby products and Krikke sells MIG weathering products too.

Scenery Workshop is more for diorama related items.

Aviation Megastore is huge, and it's really good for aftermarket. Akan paints are also stocked there (their search engine is a little weak though)

I have used all the shops above, never had any significant problems. Sometimes you order something that's not in stock and you need to wait but that's par for the course.

I've spent a couple of days in Prague in Czech Republic and stumbled on this shop

https://www.mpmshop.cz

Huge selection of kits, mainly aircrafts, armoured vehicles and ships.

Spoke with the guy (if it can be called a conversation, me with no knowledge of Czech and the guy with a very limited english) and he assured me they do deliveries on all Europe.
I recommend at least a visit to the website, there's loads of aircrafts not easy to find and they even have lots of their own brand.

If any Czech member on the forum has more info, please feel free to add it!!!
