Cheers for the comment wappynutter!! :thumb1:

Ok this little guy is painted and chipped!! first I applied two coats of hairspray:

Image

Then after that I used Tamiya desert yellow and I lightened it up with a little bit of white to do the highlights. I wanted to do color modulation like I did with my KV-1. for this I masked up the model using post-its, a quick and easy way to mask panels:

Here is the turret to give you an idea of the effect that it gives you. ( my tablets camera doesn't have a macro setting on it! :x so some of the pictures are out of focus).

Time for chipping :D for this I used the a toothpick, a stiff brush and a soft brush to apply the water. I want my tank to look very weathered and just like I said before, concentrate on the chipping using the Hairspray Tech. so here are the results:

I have to admit that the hairspray tech. gives you a very good result, and had lots of fun doing it. So next step will be to decal the lil guy and weather it more. Untill then, take care and Happy holidays! :hi:

Cheers dude!!! I'm thinking to tone down the chipping tho. Not to sound like a rivet counter but DAK vehicles weren't as chipped as mine is. I'll try to correct it and if i cant, oh well, at least i had fun doing it!! :D

Have you ever heard the term "less is more"? Well thats the case for the chipping in this case. I decided to tone it down a lil bit
Image

Wheels are all painted.

Re did some of the chipping using the sponge method.
Image

Then I applied a couple of layers of future (klear) to prep the surface for the decals and washes:

And that is it for now, I have been extremely busy but I think I have a good chance of getting this done in time. I REALLY want to get those sanders!! Lol. Till then, Merry Christmas and happy new 2014!!

All is there left to do is seal the wash and do the dry brushing on the tank and tracks followed by dusting. Thanks for looking.

Super finish, the detail is brilliant and the work log dialog made this a fantastic build.
