Sherman firefly, Revell 1/76

Hello to all

I like to stick planes, but I got a gift - model tank. Oh no, I thought I used to think that a pile of such a model (preferably Tiger ), but in the scale of 1/35... whatever
This will be my training ground. I've never consisted tank, so it will be interesting
I'll try not to spoil it

This is my patient:



Therefore, I have no idea about tanks I decided to read some materials about Sherman



Ok let's start
First I made a bridge that was in the box.

So he looked at the beginning like that:



It was painted and pelted with everything I had in the house







I also made the headlights







I used a transparent frame of the old model

I also made the frame out of wire for lamps



Then I fixed the barrel



I also made handles for towing



and tools (the tools on model were very flat)





The last thing I did is something I've always dreamed of, but the aircraft had to be very calm... Weathering.
Ugly, dirty and bad I liked it, unless I start to build a more tanks



I use what I have on hand, sand, glue, pastels. Just what I see in the house was goes to the model

That's all for now, soon accomplishes the rest of details and I need to again use an airbrush, a little scared this because I've seen that painting of tanks is modulation of color and I do not know yet what's going on.

Great job on those replacement tools and the weathering. One thing I noticed is the size of the bricks on the bridge, I suspect these are more likely to be stone rather than brick. Not a critisism but a general comment.

You read my mind exactly the same, I think. I'll have to change it, besides this red color and so it seems to me to be too strong, at the end I will try to change it to such as these colors ->

Anyone can do such things, there is nothing special.
I painted Sherman. And here you can see that I am still weak modeller I'll still be working on it, I am far not as I imagined it. I think too much I like the dirt

Thank you very much for your kind words. Admittedly, it took some time, but the model has not finished. Still I have with him a little work. Now the moment I started a new project - russian hind;

Are you planning to do zimmerit? I wonder how to do it, if you know of some kind tuorial it I will be very happy to watch. I know that We can buy ready-made Tamiya zimmerit, but not know Will there be a fit the model of the brand dragon.
