Dragon 1/35 M1A2 SEP

So 2014 is here so time to start something new.

I´m continuing my quest to build the modern MBT from around the world thats being used in present time. The time now has come to the US with its M1 Abrams tank so lets go.



Wheels done and lying on the side, suspension and running gear also done.



These parts are to be mounted on the front fenders



Took me nearly 1½hr to do



Parts on the rear mounted.



Upper hull has got some details going.



Thats where i´m at right now. This build will probably be put to the side cause of upcoming GBs but its a kit i´ll take to now and then so updates will come.

just one question .... did you paint the rearlights already ??

Yes.
I´ll mask them off with maskol before painting.I never managed to get good result painting them during lets say detail painting. this way they also keep some of the glare the clear part gives.

I am with you Stefan, I am aiming to build an SPG and MBT from most modern nations. So France, Germany, UK, US etc.

Not sure what M1 kit to get when I get round to that though, there is lots of choice. Tamiya are always a safe bet, Dragon is expensive and often have instruction issues etc. Saw an Italeri M1 boxing which had some nice resin parts included for a nice price so might try that when I can.

Looking forward to seeing this move on, looks like it has nice details!
