big question for reference material

Post by MarkVerploeg »

hi guys and girls
i was not sure if this is the right place to put this but is on something that may be helpfull for modelling
i am planning to make a contribution to the forum in the form of a vehicle reference
this will be on the german armor and other vehicles they used since i have a bigger intrest in those subjects and.i own more books and such on the subject
i came to this idea after i was watching some youtube video's from other forum members and they are showing or telling about future plans for GB entry's and diorama ideas
and then i found some mistakes on the subjects they are talking about mainly the time in wich the supossed vehicle should be around
so.my idea is to make an overview on the vehicles the type of vehicle and when they are build/used
now by all means i'm no expert but i do like to think i have a bit of knowledge on stuff like that
but i am not sure this is neede/wanted by you
so i would like to know:
would this be helpfull (it is quite a lot of work so i won't be doing it if its not helpfull)
and second are there others who want to help in this covering other subjects/nations
so let me know what you think on this
and i will be hearing from you
cheers Mark

You can't have too much reference material! There are a lot of German armour fans on here, so I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

Reference material is always useful.

But for myself I just do what I want too. Rather than concentrate on accuracy.

i do that too but i have seen some things that are to far off (personal opinion)
and i watched a video today and in that vid someone wanted to enter a vehicle that was used from june 44 in a gb depicting a battle that happend a full year before
so in such a case you can just check your planned entry and if you look at the post about the upcomming steel rain GB there is/was some confusion on what kind of vehicles subjects are good to go
so thats how i came to the idea

Great idea! It'd be nice to have some tank profiles for reference that users can contribute to.
