Robocop

Post by ridgers22 »

This is my entry into this GB. Dont really know what scale it is but its a resin robocop :)

the kit itself is not to bad but lacking a lot of detail and a few lines need re-scribed but apart from that it looks like an ok building block for a long term build. I will be detailing it as much as my skills allow me.

a nice touch is you get a choice of heads eather masked or unmasked but i think i will be masked one as i like the look and its more "Robocop" haha

so heres the kit

Wow - great subject. That should be quite something. I'd love to know the size of this. How about including a paintnpot or something else to give an idea of scale next time you post photos? Definitely the masked head for me too.

hey guys. while im waiting on paint to arrive for my B-52 i decided to do a little building.

the fit is what you'd expect from a resin model ok but a lot of sanding and cutting. not really much to say at this stage

for those who wanted to know the size iv placed my hobby knife beside him. (im sure you all own a hobby knife :D ) so you can get an idea of the size.

like i said before this is going to be a long term build ( but will be finished before the end of the GB ) just something ill do bits and bobs to in between waiting for paint to dry and such things :D

So cool!

The no helmet would be cool if you could pose him sitting down, like in his 'repair chair'.

Are you thinking of a small dio-type base, or as-is?

The easiest way to straighten resin is dipping it in very hot water for a few seconds you can then bend it back to where it should be. Then rinse and repeat until your happy.

There's a new Robo Cop movie coming out this year, hope they dont mess it up and its good.

The retro stuff is always better than the reimaged versions and your figure is looking good, nice detail is it a recast or an original? I have swayed over ordering some of those recasts from Thailand but have never been confident over the quality of them.

yeah im looking forward to what the new film brings to the classics. And like you i hope they dont screw it up.

The figure i think is a recast. im not 100% sure were it came from as iv had it for a few years now. The quilty and that great but still looks nice painted up. it will do until i get the sideshow piece when it comes out :D
