Fenders bend and added.

Tiny gap at left fender, that will be taken care of tomorrow... Had to cut of the original front mounting Brackets for the new PE ones are placed a bit more to the back. Some filler took care of the gaps from the old mounts.

The barrel is from Aber. It came with muzzle brake. I love these barrels for they are not to expensive and add a great detail to the model. And no seam!

. Now I am in modelmaking-trance (my wife words)

. Its a pity (but not for her) that I have place in my apartment for only six models '1:72 .

Scale 1:72.... that's tiny... I really liked your Marder! So i decided to give 1:72 a go and ordered a hasegewa model for the steel rain sig.... wich me luck!

i bought one before Christmas Frans and they are worlds apart, the upgrades are magnificent, and i can appreciate the amount of work needed to get it to this standard.

Something small, something tiny, something scale 1:72....

For if I would build it 1:35 it would be way to BIG

But I like A challenge

And for the D-Day GB I have planed a AFV Club 1:35 Churchill Mk. III AVRE with a fully PE upgrade from Voyager .
Going to build that model the Flying Dutch man way: Heavy metal!

Hello guys!
First, thank you all for the nice comments and compliments

I really enjoy reading them and it makes modelling so much more fun!

Ok, next update....
Today I worked on a fire extinguisher and I finished detailing the main gun.
Time: about 5 hours today...

Lets start with the fire extinguisher (in Dutch: brandblusser.. free Dutch lessons! Yeah

)

The part from the kit will not be used, i'm scratch building one from stretched sprue.

Added a tiny (serious... realy tiny!) valve. Bit to much glue, but i'm not complaining.

And build the frame and holder for it. Glued the belts on, and he's ready to put in the vehicle.

And here it is in the fighting compartment

Now... time for the pics of the main gun.
Added 2 more (workable) periscopes, the gun sight, levers, scale, and much more.
Just look at it guys, for I don't know all the names of the gun parts.

And this is what I got so far... a lot of PE

That's it for now, i'm going to work at the rear cover tomorrow.

I'm not insane, I'm Dutch. That's about the same

No, seriously tho, I love building with PE but I have to confess that I do strain my eyes sometimes.

Than I have to take a coffee break for resting my eyes a bit. Or I just put it aside and build something else.
Also, I do have moments that bending small parts just will not work or that I break a piece or that the carpet monster gets hungry again...
But most of the time it goes without saying. I'm just a very patience man I gues

Yeah got some vids planed. Want to do an update vid on this marder, but that's when I got most PE work done.
Also I expect some kits coming in next week or so, will do a unboxing review of that.

Got also some tutorials planed, but not sure when.

Those periscopes are just magic, i fitted the kit ones that look ok, but the pe is something else again and so minute its just awe inspiring and i like it allot, one to build again i think after following your build Frans.

Well.... You are handeling the whip very wel my friend!

But to keep you satisfied for a moment Chief, I did managed to make a latch for the rear cover...

So small... It took me one hour to make this latch. It are 6 pieces of PE folded.
It was workable, but the rear cover is going to be closed, so I glued the latch to secure it and to prevent breaking.

And here it is glued in position.

So... That's it for now. Maybe I will get some work done this week in the evening, but as it is very busy at work, I can't make any promises...

I use a black piece of paper for a "PE zone". Only PE parts ar allowed in, so I Always know were the parts are.
Had trouble finding them too first. LOL Going for a toilet visit and back at my bench: now were are those parts gone?
