Are these decent kits?

Post by George »

I have the opportunity to pick up these kits at a price of between $10 to $20. Are they decent kits or should I pass on it? They are kits from the late 1990's i think. Is that a good price for there age? All kits are open but have not been started.

Dragon - 1/35 Kubelwagen and Cold Weather Starter Kit #9051
Dragon - 1/35 Flakpanzer IV Kugelbitz #6040
Dragon - 1/35 Borgward #6101
Italeri - 1/35 Panzer IV #217
Tamiya - 1/35 German King Tiger #35164
Tamiya - 1/35 88mm Gun Flak #CA117

Thanks
George

I've never had a bad dragon kit, or at least never one annoying enough to pass off for less than $20! :D :D Tamiya King Tiger is a good one I've heard though I might be thinking of a newer one of something....anyhow, never seen a post-80's Tamiya kit go for less than $20.

I gotta say yes to all at them prices!!
Any Tamiya or Dragon kits costing between £7-£15 each at 1/35 scale have gotta be a good buy!!
Wish we could buy that cheap here!!
Go for it mate, just watch out for the confusing Dragon instructions, well most are!! :th:
The Tamiya kits will be good quality too....

George, can't comment on the kits themselves but as Wappynutter say's the price is great, snap them up and then enjoy them. The scalemates site he mentions is a great resource to bookmark or you can just google the kits direct e.g Dragon 6040 review and see what comes up.

cheers

If you want you could buy as many as you can and then put the ones you don't want up on Ebay for like $25; people'll still pay that much for Dragon/Tamiya   :thumb2:
