Australian Meteor F8

Post by Norman »

When i was a young bloke ( 50 years ago) i was taken to see the Meteorites perform at a RAAF Base near Melbourne Australia, they impressed me and i have liked and modelled Meteor's ever since

I nowadays model 1/48 scale and have just completed the Classic Airframes kit with Red Roo Decals, the kit is not very difficult , the only thing is to ignore step 7 and complete top and bottom wings as separate / whole units , if that makes sense as you will then save yourself MUCH filling and sanding

RAAF Meteors were painted silver and i have used my Favourite paint for this being Tamiya flat aluminium XF-16

She aint perfect but she is done !

Mustn't complain, you blokes get your share of rubbish weather too !!
