Pegaso Models Conan the Barbarian

Post by Coen »

Here he is in all his Conany glory.
I guess Coen the Boobarian is as good a name as any haha.
He's scottish. Haha.
Anyway. I finished him yesterday afternoon. I gave a bit more definition to his eyes, touched up his eyebrows, then highlighted his face a bit.
I gave his amulet a dry-brushing then almost ruined him with an experimental wash of Vallejo sepia thinned with Vallejo airbrush thinner. Not a good plan.
It worked for a bit then I brushed a bit too long on one of his lats and took all the paint off down to the primer.
That took a bit of doing to fix. It wasn't a big hole but it was certainly noticeable.
The only thing that I wish that I'd been able to fix is the mould seam on his left side on his obliques. I couldn't get that to go away not mater how much I sanded or puttied. It kept creeping back.
In the end I'm happy with how he turned out, the skills that I learned from DC87 Dan C and Rob Mr. Bob's Builds were invaluable.
I know that he turned out as well as he did because of their vids.
You two have my thanks.

So.... He he is... there's a few pic here. I'm a bit proud of him.
There's a video at the end too.

Stunning piece, an absolute work of art! Skin tones are so hard to get right, but you absolutely nailed it. Great pictures as well, you can really appreciate all the detail - the fur, highlights on the clothing/boots and the detail on the gorundwork, all top drawer stuff! :th: :th:   : :

What more can I say than - totally boobalicious!!

Skin tones are spot on, I also like the leather effect on the trousers. We'll done!

Man, Coen I've just watched your video! The pictures above are good but the figure really comes to life with Your narrative. My jaw is dropped with admiration for this. You say some nice things about my vids which is kind, but your skills are from a different planet. :cheers2:
