I didn't know it ate paint though. I thought that it just dried white all over your model.
Hope i was helpful. You can paint straight over it i think.

i going to paint the wing for a second time
atleast when.i feel like it
but it is the bare plastic shoeing in the picture only the black preshading was strong enough to stay on
but all help is welcome so thanks for that

I hope you can fix this! It's strange that you had this problem and the new Flory models video update has a section on the same thing! At about the 23:40 mark he talks about the new flat that Tamiya has out, not to be confused with the flattening agent used to make paint more matte. He also says that MANY people have done this and it can be fixed with a bit (alright, a lot) of patience.

it will be fixed, i'm sure
it needs some new masking and paint that's all
still not nice it happend but what can you do about
i think i will.start repainting in the next couple of days since my sws just got it's primer and needs to be left to dry for a few days
but for now i will clean up that dump site i call a work bench since that is a bit cluttered

so not really a update but more of an anouncement
i fixed the paint on the left wing of the Halifax
and in the process of doing that i lost some decals on this wing wich is too bad
but this is how it looks like at the moment

the big national sign is repainted as the decal was lost and now all that needs to be done is to apply washes and make the exhausts look rusty
and once that is done i'm calling the whole thing finished

i did lose some decals and parts on this one
but on the other hand i learned some things during the build so the next plane should be better
but that will have to wait because that is for the night fighter sig

hi to all
here is my last update on my Halifax build
because she is finished
but here are the last things i did

after the painted on recognition signs dried i applied a new coat of clear
once this was dry i applied mig's dark wash and left that to dry aswell

while that was drying i painted in the colors for the lights on the wingtips
i used vallejo's gunmetal,german camo bright green and red for this
once these had dried i glued in the clear parts

and once everything was dry the entire plane was spayed with Vallejo matt varnish
and as a last step i applied some rust on the exhausts

this rust is made by mixing some rust pigments and tamiya thinner

so this is all i have for this build
